Lilac Flowers

Florists call silk and other flowers “permanent botanicals”. Today, silk flowers are prized for their versatility. In Bhubaneswar, praised artist Seema Agrawal started a new venture titled as ‘LILAC’. The high quality artificial flowers are made up of silk, rayon, cotton or foam, which involves die-cutting of petals from the chosen fabric, hand-dying the petals and molding the petals to create a life-like effect. It is for the first time in Odisha that such a manufacturing unit of flowers has been established. The quality of the products can be comparable to any international standard. As we are running behind the motive of ‘Vocal for Local’, we firmly believe that ‘Lilac’ would flourish.
